Accommodation regulations

The client is entitled to use the premises reserved for accommodation as well as the common areas of the building. Upon arrival, the client receives a key. The client is obliged to return the key to the accommodation provider at the end of their stay. The client is obliged to prevent the loss or theft of the key. The key must not be lent to persons not staying on the property. In case of loss, theft or misuse of the key, the client must pay the accommodation provider a contractual penalty of CZK 2,500; this does not affect the accommodation provider’s right to claim compensation for damages.

1. Beginning of the stay
The accommodation provider shall accommodate the client from 15:00 on the respective day of arrival. The client is obliged to leave the property on the day of termination of accommodation by 10:00. The exact arrival time shall be agreed upon by the client with the accommodation provider over the phone. If the client does not keep the leaving time, they will be charged for the next day of stay, according to the valid price list.

2. Internet
Good quality Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The client will receive a password upon arrival.

3. Pets
Pets are not allowed to stay or visit the property.

4. Smoking, drugs and alcohol
There is a no-smoking policy throughout the property. The property is equipped with smoke detectors. Any violation of the ban is subject to a fine of EUR 100. Clients can enjoy a cigarette, pipe or cigar on the patio and under the pergola. All drugs except alcohol are prohibited.

5. Quiet night hours
From 22.00 to 06.00, the client is obliged to observe the night-time silence.

6. Storage of sports equipment
The client cannot take sporting equipment and items into the cottage premises. Please use the garden shed/outdoor storage to accommodate all necessary equipment.

7. Valuables
The accommodation provider recommends that clients refrain from leaving jewellery, money, and other valuable items on the property or adequately secure them against theft. The accommodation provider is not responsible for losing or damaging these valuable items. The accommodation provider is not obliged to ensure the safekeeping of these items.

8. Hygiene and safety in the sauna
Please take a shower before entering the sauna. It is forbidden to use glassware in the sauna. Sweat and glass shards are the worst enemy of all saunas and their users! Plastic glasses are available in the kitchen. Always enter the sauna with a sheet or towel. This is a Finnish sauna, so it is a dry sauna. Should you need to increase the humidity, you can carefully pour water ONLY on the lava stones, not the wood and other parts of the sauna.
Please remove your shoes and leave them in the vestibule at the main entrance before entering the house. All floors are heated.

9. Making a fire in the stove
Be cautious when heating with a wood-burning stove in the living room, and close the door properly. Starting fires for roasting sausages, marshmallows, etc… is prohibited in stoves. Wood is available from the accommodation provider. The stove serves as the boiler for the whole house, the heat is mainly directed to the storage tank and the heat in the entire house is provided by underfloor heating in all rooms. Please do not overheat the stove; it will not add significant heat. If you are cold, reach out to the owner, who will set the underfloor heating at a higher temperature for the selected parts of the house.

10. Fire extinguisher
A fire extinguisher is available in the room under the stairs. If a fire starts, the client must immediately call 150 and report the address Stará Ves 103, Vysoké nad Jizerou, 513 01.

11. CCTV system.
A CCTV system has been installed in the cottage’s exterior for security reasons and to protect our clients. The recordings are handled by the relevant legislation for the protection of personality.

12. Waste sorting
We sort our waste because we are responsible towards the planet Earth. Please separate paper, plastic, glass and mixed waste. You will find the bags for sorted waste in the kitchen.

13. Wastewater treatment
To ensure the smooth running of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), there is a strict prohibition on pouring fats and oils down the drain. Pour edible oils into the composter, and throw in the napkin you used to wipe the pan. It is also forbidden to throw solid waste into the WWTP. Non-degradable materials such as diapers, sanitary napkins, condoms, ear-plucking cotton swabs, water wipes, plastic wraps, etc., are prohibited from being thrown into the toilet and waste. All these items are easily visible when the lid of the WWTP is opened. In case of non-compliance, a fine of CZK 1,000 is applied. If a defect is caused due to non-compliance with the above, payment of the cost of service/repair by a professional company is at the client’s expense.

14. Wine list
Our wine selection is replenished continuously, payable in cash on departure.

15. Parking
Parking for 3 cars is free in the designated parking spots in front of the house, weather permitting. If the road to the accommodation is impassable, there is a parking spot about 100 m from the house. The parking spaces in front of the house are guarded by the CCTV.

16. Respect for neighbours
Only quiet music outside with respect to the neighbours in the surrounding houses. Please remember that no music and other noise is allowed after 22:00.
